In 2020 I began what would become a series of comedic alter egos. I started with a painter and continued to portray a musician, a dancer, and an actress. All artists of different disciplines. All versions of myself that I had previously pushed down: convinced they were shameful parts of my personality that I should hide from the world.
The alter egos became an experiment in reclaiming and loving parts of myself that I associate with different art making personas.
They were also an experiment in comedy. I was interested in putting characters onstage without much of a plot. I have been advised against this and yet I prevail. More recently I have begun the fascinating task of translating these egos into film versions.
